
Bill Caye, Member OGC Law, has 30 years of intense courtroom advocacy and trial experience in good standing. Since 1994, Bill has been licensed and admitted to all Pennsylvania Courts. Bill was a former Senior Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Past Chief Deputy District Attorney, and he had been a prior Assistant District Attorney and Judicial Law Clerk, in Allegheny County.
Bill is a graduate of the Duquesne University School of Law, where he had a Summer Clerkship in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and embarked on his legal career in 1993 serving as a law clerk to Chief US District Court Judge Donald E. Ziegler (W.D. Pa.). He is a member of the Duquesne University Law Alumni and a former Board member.
Bill focuses his active practice of law on addressing a variety of commercial related disputes, municipal, or land use controversies, and contentious business dealings, construction issues, as well as white collar, government regulatory, and professional law enforcement investigations, and parallel litigation. He has presented CLE for various professional organizations on trending legal topics from a unique defense, judicial and public service career perspective.
Bill is a long-time member of the PBA, ACBA (past ABA Solo Practice member) and he devotes significant time volunteering in the community around Southwestern Pennsylvania mentoring young students and professionals in areas of career development and serving in leadership roles on the Executive Board for the PA Sports Hall of Fame as Senior Regional Vice President, and Senior Advisor at Brookline Teen Outreach. Bill is the immediate past president of the Pittsburgh Diocese Serra Club and is an ex officio there, currently.

Defended a dentist leading to a pretrial diversion/declination of federal prosecution reinstating his license
Prosecuted and convicted a serial violent sexual predator targeting several minors in Butler County
Oversaw a PA Statewide Law Enforcement Investigation and Prosecuted a sophisticated tax fraud ring
Defended an alleged LCN enforcer exonerating him from numerous parole/probation violations
Assisted in drafting several noteworthy and precedential published opinions of the trial court
Defended a property owner from municipal code enforcement proceedings ending with a clearance
