Penina Lieber

Penina Lieber is a member at OGC Law. Penina focuses her practice in the area of nonprofit and tax-exempt law and represents nonprofit organizations and associations in a wide range of legal matters, including tax, charitable trust litigation, corporate restructuring, governance, employment, licensing and accreditation, financing, public-private partnerships and joint ventures. Before coming to OGC Law, Penina practiced at several major law firms in Pittsburgh for more than 30 years, including seven years at a full-service national law firm. Penina was a law clerk on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. She was the District 3 Governor on the American Bar Association Board of Governors representing New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She is an elected member of the prestigious American Law Institute (ALI) and a member of its Consultative Members Groups for the Restatement of the Law of Charitable Organizations and the Restatement of the Law in Corporate Governance. In addition, Penina is an approved Mediator and Early Neutral Evaluator in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Program of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she teaches nonprofit and tax-exempt law.
