Greg Teufel

FOUNDER/MANAGING MEMBER

Gregory H. Teufel is the founder of OGC Law, LLC. Greg focuses his practice on outside general counsel work, including entity formation, drafting and negotiating contracts and commercial litigation, including breach of contract disputes, election litigation, customs litigation, construction litigation, employee benefits disputes and employment disputes. Before founding OGC Law, Greg practiced at several major law firms in Pittsburgh for more than 20 years. He has trial experience in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and in the Court of International Trade, and has also handled AAA arbitrations. His appellate experience includes arguing before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Greg is a continuing legal education lecturer.

Greg is also Founder and President of Law Office Spaces Mt. Lebanon, which owns and operates a commercial building, including an innovative legal community, bringing a special variety of workspace sharing for attorneys to the Pittsburgh market.

Representative Matters
  • Has served and is serving as outside general counsel to a variety of companies, assisting with evaluating, prioritizing and addressing a wide range of legal needs;
  • Assists with new business formation and negotiating and drafting agreements and policies;
  • Litigates on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in contract disputes over issues such as material breach, mitigation, damages and the economic loss doctrine in many cases such as those involving sale of goods and services, software development, insurance and high-stakes real estate transactions;
  • Successfully litigated multi-million-dollar Customs matters against the U.S. government, through trial and appeals and obtained a $775,000 attorney fee award;
  • Represents owners, contractors and architects in construction litigation involving scope of work, extra work, quality of work and delay damages, ranging from small matters to multi-million dollar disputes;
  • Successfully arbitrated on behalf of a metal fabricator against its customer to recover storage fees in excess of $100,000 in a UCC “Battle of the Forms” case;
  • Handles a variety of employee benefits disputes over benefits eligibility and calculation, fiduciary duties, disclosure requirements, preemption, prohibited transactions, qualified domestic relations orders, attorney fee awards and civil penalties (in the area of employment law);
  • Represents employers in suits involving theft of trade secrets and breach of noncompetition agreements, alleged racial and gender discrimination and sexual harassment;
  • Assists companies with drafting and revising employee handbooks, compensation policies and severance agreements;
  • Litigated automobile dealership termination matters before the Pennsylvania State Board of Vehicle Manufacturing Dealers and Salespersons;
  • Represented product manufacturers and sellers in significant product liability litigation involving medical devices and industrial machinery;
  • Defended claims alleging liability for harm caused by toxic exposures, including claims alleging harm caused by asbestos.
